Amazon India will be celebrating the second anniversary of Amazon Launchpad in India with ‘Innovation Day’ on Wednesday, December 5. Amazon launched Launchpad back in December 2016 with a focus on enabling young companies to sell their innovative products on Amazon’s online marketplace in India. Launchpad currently hosts more than 40,000 unique products across 30 categories in India. Innovation Day is a special one-day event where products listed on Amazon Launchpad will be available at special prices for 24 hours.

The ‘Innovation Day’ sale will offer products listed on Amazon Launchpad with discounts up to 40 percent. The one-day sale will also include newly launched products from Indian startups such as Actofit, Shifu, Phool, and others. Amazon will offer a curated list of products at a discounted price from categories including electronics, toys and games, home and kitchen, and others. The Amazon Innovation Day sale will go live at 12 am on December 5 and will last for 24 hours only.

Amazon India claims promotional sales such as ‘Innovation Day’ will offer a platform for Indian startups and SMBs to showcase their product to a large number of online shoppers. The online marketplace intends to bring innovative products from these young companies to its customers at an affordable price point. This year’s Innovation Day sale will also include unique products from sellers on Amazon’s online marketplace apart from just startups, according to the company.

Amazon Launchpad is a global program that brings unique products from startups to Amazon’s customers. The company claims it offers its expertise in selling globally to young companies so that they can focus more on creating their products instead of worrying about reaching a mass audience. Launchpad is an ideal online destination for both young Indian startups and early adopters.
